Gratitude Nourishes the Heart

As gratefulness flows from your heart and touches the lives around you, it becomes a blessing.

Flip a switch, and there is light. Turn a knob for warm water, cold water, drinkable sweet water. Simple blessings, luxuries that millions do not have.

Not one day is like the other. Each day is a gift to appreciate. With our eyes, we see the world. With our hearts, we feel life’s vibrations. A life filled with gratitude is a sweet awareness of the day’s blessing.

Don’t let hate, disappointment, or a grandiose sense of self-importance steal your joy. Do not covet what others have, be thankful for who you are.

Piglet noted that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude. A. A. Milne.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in Him, having been firlmy rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith,... and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:7

I am greatly blessed
I am highly favoured
I am deeply loved
And so grateful.

    I’m nourished by my gratitude,
    for I’ve found Heaven’s answer,
    that everything is attitude,
and I give thanks for cancer.
No, I really am not touched,
    and have not gone macnoon;
it’s just that my life’s truly such
    a blessing, for quite soon
I’ll stand before the Pearly Gates
while Big Pete checks the list,
and then he will tell me my fate
    (while clenching both his fists),
“Can’t see how entrance is your earning,
but I’ll call ahead to give ’em warning.”

‘Macnoon’ is Egyptian Arabic for crazy.
