Morning stillness
Rhythmic movement
Zephyr and leaf
#HaikuSatuday #haikuchallenge
My brother passed away on July 28. His funeral was at the Biloxi National Cemetery on August 16. At the end of his funeral, a gentle southern breeze blew during the final prayer.
Signs of the time,
policies align
a shift in the fault line.
Is America given another chance to redeem herself? November's vote will tell.
Wind rustles the leaves
Trees shimmer, yawning deeply
Anticipation
Rustling leaves
Yawning trees
Anticipating fall
seasonal leaves
grounding roots, true friends-
the rings inside
the night sky frolics
under silvery moonbeams
in stillness, dreams come
night recedes behind the stars-
no thought to pending troubles
tomorrow sleeps
cool breeze comes
summer seeds fall
waiting to be reborn
Summer's heat softens
with autumn golden hues,
coming stillness.
